D. Elizabeth Martin
Elizabeth worked in the non-profit sector for 16 years. She now focuses on helping people deal with end of life and disability issues. She conducts outreach to Senior Citizens and persons with disability issues to provide information on wills, trusts, durable Powers of Attorney for Finances, Advance Health Care Directives and Special Needs Trusts.
Elizabeth completed her undergraduate work with an emphasis in criminology, law and accounting. Since graduating from law school she worked in the non-profit sector investigating and prosecuting housing discrimination cases. She was noted as a "well qualified expert" by the 4th circuit court of appeal in a fair housing case.
Elizabeth also teaches at Western State University College of Law. She has written educational materials for training in Fair Housing and Landlord-Tenant law as well as conducted seminars at local and national conferences.
